Historic Church Restoration
Ohio
Preserving history in Ohio. Our team has been tasked with structurally shoring and stabilizing a historic structure owned by the Anchor Church. This church was built by ship builders in 1911 and over time water infiltration has caused the main support truss to fall off of its bearing. Special care was taken about a year ago to shore the building from getting any worse while our team could come up with a safe and cost effective design and strategy to save the building. With the assistance of a local engineer, Lepi Enterprises is undertaking the design and construction of new steel trusses around the existing ones. In addition, we have put new structural columns on new footings in the basement, running to the attic for new bearing. This project is ongoing but is progressing to the customer’s expectations. We are very excited to be part of saving this structure for the enjoyment of future generations to come.
